This weeks class was all about straightforward animation. Straightforward animation is a faster, simpler form of animation as apposed to blocking animation. Instead of planning out each pose and perfecting it one by one, straightforward animation is animating as you go. There is no technical planning to the animation. We then took what we learnt and applied it to a rigged character. We quickly set up some character sets for the torso, arms and legs. We then used straightforward animation to make the character leap from a platform into the air and land on the ground. Here is my animation that I created using straightforward animation techniques.
