Animation – Week 10

Standard

This week’s class was about the first pass of animation for our walk cycle. We only worked on tweaking the hips. First, we changed the tangents of the feet to plateau tangents, the changed the hip tangents to spline. The hip tangents are spline so they have a smoother flow compared to the feet. We then started tweaking the hips further so that they had a slight flick when the moved which made the walk appeared more masculine.

After the first pass was complete, we then worked on applying the first pass to our own planned walk cycles. I am very happy with the animation I have produced at this point, although some small tweaks need to be fixed in the right foot, which will be completely fixed when I move onto the second pass of animation.
