This week’s lesson was focusing on blocking animation. Blocking out is the test or foundation of the animation. It is used to show arcs and the line of action. It is also to plan out staging. The three stages of animation are;

When animating a character, it is always helpful to know its centre of gravity. In the case of the character that was being animated in the lesson, which was lifting a heavy object, it is always helpful to know how heavy the object is as this can change the characters centre of gravity.
